MLB ROUNDUP: YANKEES, DODGERS REMAIN DEADLOCKED FOR BEST RECORD
Title race between AL, NL East leaders remains tight
New York, Los Angeles maintain 1-game difference
The New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers remain locked in a tight race for the best record in Major League Baseball, with both teams holding a 98-46 record entering play on Saturday.
The Yankees took two of three games from the Baltimore Orioles this week, while the Dodgers dropped two of three to the Milwaukee Brewers.
The Yankees have a one-game lead over the Dodgers in the American League East and National League West, respectively.
The remaining schedule for both teams is relatively easy, with the Yankees facing the Orioles, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Texas Rangers, and the Dodgers facing the Arizona Diamondbacks, Colorado Rockies, and San Diego Padres.
The Yankees and Dodgers are both heavy favorites to win their respective divisions and earn a bye into the Division Series round of the playoffs.
The two teams could meet in the World Series, which would be a rematch of the 2017 Fall Classic, which the Dodgers won in seven games.
